Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls subsidiary, invites applications for a Plumbing Apprentice at our Nisku, Alberta facility. The role supports Journeyperson plumbers in installation, maintenance and repairs of plumbing and heating systems in a large manufacturing environment.

Candidates must be registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. The position may require 24/7 availability, travel to off-site locations, and lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• Registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta.
• Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
• Experience with hand and power tools is an asset.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyperson Plumbers with installation, maintenance and repairs of plumbing and heating systems.
• Set priorities on work assignments and meet deadlines.
• Able to braze/solder copper pipe.
• Able to work with PVC pipe.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Participate in proper clean-ups for a safe work environment.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in technology and safety regulations.
• Perform duties according to Silent-Aire safety program and Alberta OHS Act.
• Other duties as required.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Rotating Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekend coverage included as part of the rotation.

ThePlumbing ApprenticewillassisttheJourneypersonPlumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Excellent facilitation, investigation,and problem-solving skills.

• Sets prioritiesonwork assignments and hasabilityto meet established deadlines.

• Able to braze/solder copper pipe.

• Able to work with PVC pipe.

• Experiencewithhandand powertools.

• Participatein proper clean-ups to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.

• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance,and repair techniques.
