Job description

Oakville, ON | Day Shift | $46 to $49/hour

Ellos HR Solutions is recruiting a PLC Programmer / Industrial Electrician for a well established manufacturing company in Oakville.

This is a permanent day shift opportunity with a fantastic work environment, supportive Maintenance leadership, excellent benefits and one of the stronger retirement programs we have seen in manufacturing.

We are looking for someone with approximately 3 to 5+ years of strong PLC Programming and industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.

442A Industrial Electrician license is preferred.

Your technical background should include experience with:

• Allen Bradley PLC 500 and 5000
• Fixed and modular PLC systems
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Industrial electrical diagnostics
• Automated manufacturing equipment
• Experience with robotics, robotic welding equipment, Motoman robots, press brakes and metal fabrication equipment

The facility has approximately 10 robotic cells and a combination of newer automation and older manufacturing equipment, so this is a great environment for someone who enjoys troubleshooting different technologies.

You do not necessarily need to have started your career as a PLC Programmer. The company is open to an experienced Industrial Electrician who has developed strong PLC programming skills over the years and has the technical curiosity to continue learning.

Day Shift: Typically 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay: Approximately $46 to $49/hour, depending on experience

The regular position is days. Because the PLC team is small, there may occasionally be a need to support the operation later. If working on afternoon shift, the premium is 7% of the rate.

Supportive Maintenance Manager and strong team environment

The maintenance team consists of approximately 6 people, and the facility is around 80,000 sq. ft.

The interview process is straightforward, with the interview and plant tour typically completed during the same visit.
