Qualifications

• 3+ years of PLC/Robotic programming in industrial automation or custom machinery environment.

• Robotics experience with FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or similar is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete machine commissioning, start-up, and debugging both in-house and at customer sites.
• Integrate robots, vision systems, safety systems, drives, and other automation components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and machine specifications.
• Work closely with Electrical and Mechanical teams to ensure proper system integration.
• Diagnose and resolve controls and automation issues during commissioning and production.
• Provide technical support and training to customers as required.
• Travel throughout North America for approximately 30% of the time.

The PLC / Robotic Programmer will be responsible for programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting automated machinery and robotic systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, and Project Engineering teams to deliver fully integrated automation solutions.

Primary Duties

• Program and configure PLC, HMI, and robotic control systems for custom automation equipment.

Technical Requirements

• Strong PLC programming experience within a custom machinery or industrial automation environment.

• Strong understanding of industrial controls, HMIs, VFDs, servos, safety systems, and automation networks.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience with machine commissioning and on-site troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America approximately 30%.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PLC/Robotic programming experience in an industrial automation or custom machinery environment.

Salary Range: $40/hr - $60/hr + OT + Per Diems
