Job Summary

Design, program, operate, service, and maintain PLC devices.

Knowledge and Skills (Education)

• Post-Secondary Education: Electro-Mechanical Technician Diploma or equivalent.
• Provincial Certification (Red Seal 309A or 442A) required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of technical controls and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Major Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment including weld controllers, robotics, and PLCs; repair components as needed.
• Design electrical and electronic circuits.
• Program PLCs, AC/DC drives, and Servo Drives.
• Modify robot, PLC programs, and machine interfaces.
• Perform equipment maintenance.
• Change welding consumables as required.
• Adjust MIG and spot-welding schedules on various weld controllers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
