The pan-Canadian Integrated Youth Services (IYS) Collaboration Centre has been created to support development, implementation, and evaluation of IYS practices, services, and research across Canada. IYS networks in every province and territory deliver services to youth aged 12 to 25, emphasizing equity, engagement, measurement, and continuous learning. These youth hubs are operated by Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario.
The IYS-CC hosted by CAMH seeks a First Nation, Inuit, and/or Métis applicant for a full-time, contract position as Implementation Specialist (Indigenous Partnership Specialist). This role is remote, anywhere in Canada, reporting to the IYS-CC Program Manager. The specialist will support IYS networks in partnering effectively with Indigenous communities, integrating Indigenous knowledge, and promoting equitable outcomes. Collaboration with diverse teams, including youth, service providers, researchers, and health equity specialists, is essential.
The successful candidate will possess expertise in Indigenous health, community engagement, anti-oppressive practices, and change management, with a strong background in supporting systemic change and fostering Indigenous partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
This position requires the applicant to be First Nations, Inuit, or Métis, with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, Public Health, Psychology, or relevant experience. A minimum of three years’ experience in Indigenous health promotion or related fields is required. Expertise in health program implementation, Indigenous engagement principles, and decolonizing practices is essential.
Additional skills include bilingualism (Indigenous language and/or French/English), ability to travel, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
