Job summary

Canadian Public Safety Operations Organization in Regina seeks a Platoon Supervisor to lead Public Safety Communicators and ensure the effective operation of PECC South and its systems.

You will coach staff, drive operational readiness, and foster a professional, service-focused environment that supports emergency responders and the public across Saskatchewan. The role requires 4+ years in emergency communications and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in Canada.
  • Minimum four years of experience in emergency communications, public safety, emergency response, or a related operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and support team performance in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute accurately.
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a hearing assessment.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.
  • Successful completion of additional background screening, assessments, and verification processes as required for the position.

  • Leadership experience within a public safety or emergency communications environment.
  • Post-secondary education.
TRAINING

Training for successful candidates will primarily occur in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and is expected to last approximately 16 weeks.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location: Provincial Emergency Communications Centre South, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Hours of Work: 2,080 hours annually, shift work.

Physical Demands: Requires extended periods of sitting and working in a high-paced, focused, technology-driven communications centre environment
