Job summary

Copperleaf invites a strategic engineering leader to direct the Agentic Platform pillar within R&D. You will own delivery, quality, and operations across five cells—cloud infra, data, AI, extensions and integrations, and shared services—and build the leadership pipeline.

You will drive the Azure transition, modernize the platform, scale AI infrastructure, automate provisioning, and shape the 2027–2029 technology roadmap in collaboration with the VP of R&D and the Senior Principal

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering pillar. Own delivery, quality, and operations across the five cells. Hire, grow, and retain managers and senior engineers. Build succession depth so no part of the platform depends on one person.
• Finish the cloud transition. Move to Azure, retire legacy Windows-era infra on a timeline. Industrialize AI infra; take AI Agentic Platform from early adopter to production grade with multi-tenancy and compliant pipelines.
• Scale extension migration. Drive AI-powered migration of hundreds of customer extensions onto the modern platform; run the platform as a product with self-serve environments and partner-facing API.
• Shape the technical roadmap. Partner with VP of R&D and Senior Principal Architect on 2027-2029 technology roadmap and convert it into a sequenced plan the pillar delivers.
