Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Shipping Forklift Operator in Feversham, Ontario. You will safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload goods, verify orders, and support warehouse inventory control on 12-hour continental rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift, shipping/receiving experience an asset.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Team player with flexibility to adapt to tasks.
• Self-motivation and ability to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from trucks and within the warehouse.
• Ensure the accuracy of orders by verifying product quantities, descriptions, and shipping details.
• Assist in the organization and management of inventory in the warehouse, including stacking and organizing products.
• Follow shipping procedures to ensure accuracy of product and inventory control.
• Remove all waste to energy and recycling throughout shift.
• Collaborate with the shipping team, warehouse staff, and supervisors to coordinate shipping activities and address any discrepancies or issues.
• Perform routine inspection checks on forklifts and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist online as needed throughout the shift.

Education/Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous Forklift, shipping/receiving experience an asset.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions.
• Demonstrate spirit of team work and collaboration with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks
• Complete tasks as assigned.

Pay Rate of $24.46 per hour with a 3 month wage increase.
