Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is hiring a Plastics Operator - Husky Operator in Ontario, Feversham. The role offers an excellent hourly wage and on-the-job training with benefits.

Responsibilities include preparing and running injection equipment, performing minor adjustments, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety. Starting wage is $24.46/hr; benefits include life, health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, uniforms and safety shoe allowance.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or plastics injection experience would be an asset.
  • Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain high levels of attendance.
  • Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation, set-up, starting and running injection equipment.
  • Ability to perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed.
  • Responsible for accurately completing and updating information forms and logs such as Injection preform and/or cap daily log, destruction logs and quality forms.
  • Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and actions and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operations.
  • Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately filling out inspection sheets based on overall production quality and reporting deficiencies immediately.
  • Understanding of the equipment computer system.
  • Comprehension of line flow and manufacturing process to maximize out put.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Keep work area clean, organized and free of debris.
  • Other duties as assigned.
