Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Plastics Operator - Husky Operator to join our team in Feversham, Ontario. The role involves preparing and operating injection equipment, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous manufacturing and/or plastics injection experience is an asset.
• Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintain high levels of attendance.
• Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set-up, start and run injection equipment.
• Perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed.
• Complete and log forms and quality records (e.g., Injection preform/cap daily log, destruction logs).
• Recognize unsafe conditions and follow plant safety rules.
• Maintain quality by completing inspection sheets and reporting deficiencies.
• Understand the equipment computer system and line flow to maximize output.
• Communicate issues clearly and keep area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation, set-up, starting and running injection equipment.
• Ability to perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed.
• Responsible for accurately completing and updating information forms and logs such as Injection preform and/or cap daily log, destruction logs and quality forms.
• Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and actions and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operations.
• Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately filling out inspection sheets based on overall production quality and reporting deficiencies immediately.
• Understanding of the equipment computer system.
• Comprehension of line flow and manufacturing process to maximize out put.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely.
• Keep work area clean, organized and free of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience Required:
