Job summary

Buchner Manufacturing Inc. (BMI) in Newmarket, Ontario, is seeking a Production Coordinator to manage daily production orders, inventory processes, and supply chain transfers.

The role requires organizing documents, processing packing slips and purchase orders, and maintaining production and material tracking spreadsheets. You will work in an office environment with access to a production facility, performing safety inspections and cycle counts while adhering to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP Software).
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Experience in manufacturing processes is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and process work orders for production requirements and stock levels.

Description

The Production Coordinator is responsible for the daily administration of production orders, inventory processes, creating and receiving all supply chain transfers, packing slips and purchase orders.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

• Create/process work orders for production requirements and stock levels
• Organize all production related documents and drawings
• Create/receive supply chain transfers, packing slips and purchase orders
• Maintain spreadsheets for production and material tracking
• Filing appropriate paperwork daily
• Liaise with other departments to help facilitate production processes
• Report production errors/issues to plant manager
• Perform safety inspections
• Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies to plant manager
• Inventory tracking and review adjustments
• Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times
• Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP Software)

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will perform their duties in an office environment with some exposure to a production facility with operating machinery, mechanical parts and moving vehicles. The noise level in this environment is moderate.

Hours of Work

7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Saturdays and overtime as needed
