Job summary

Buchner Manufacturing Inc. (BMI) in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Production General Labourer (Roll-Forming) to operate production machines and support the manufacturing of metal building products.

You will perform packaging, labeling, inspection, and loading tasks, while adhering to safety policies, lifting up to 25 kg, and standing for long periods. Team collaboration and accurate paperwork are essential.

Description

The Production General Labourer (Roll-Forming) is responsible for facilitating the production of metal building products through the operation of various machines on the production floor.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

• Preparing labels for boxes
• Inspection of product for defects including paint finish
• Packaging product
• Stack boxes onto skid
• Feeding/loading coil
• Complete production paperwork
• General housekeeping of work area
• Other duties as required
• Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times
  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education/Certification/Experience

• Previous manufacturing experience (asset)
• Previous roll-forming experience

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will have exposure to a production facility with operating machinery, mechanical parts and moving vehicles. The noise level in this environment is moderate, and can reach very high levels in the production plant when running the stamping presses as well as certain other machinery. Some areas of this environment are exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
