Job summary

FLINT Corp. seeks a Plant Operator for a 3‑month contract at the Sulphur forming facility in Didsbury, AB. Expect 12‑hour work days; benefits after 300+ hours.

Local candidates preferred. The role requires 4+ years of plant operations, a 4th class power engineering certificate, and extensive knowledge of gas plant systems. Travel or relocation at own expense is encouraged for non-local applicants; safety tickets are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4years’ experience as a Plant Operator in Sulphur forming facilities.
• Minimum 4th class power engineering certificate is required
• Possess extensive knowledge of all facets of gas plant operations.
• Ability to monitor and maintain various plant equipment, record testing outcomes, report equipment issues, and oversee production process while improving the plant facility’s efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements: CSTS-2020, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, WHMIS, ABSA, ASME.
• Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Must have own reliable transportation to site.
• Valid driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract with under 6 demerits.

Job Description

FLINT is seeking a Plant Operator with Sulphur forming facility experience for a 3 month contract in Didsbury, AB starting as soon as possible. In this position, you will enjoy a schedule with 12 hour work days and benefits after 300+ hours worked.

This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance. Therefore, it is best suited for local candidates; however, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply.
