Job summary

Pangeo Group is seeking an IT Administrator to be the primary onsite IT person at the Vaughan plant. You will guide the build-out, install and validate IT infrastructure, and then provide day-to-day production support.

You’ll work with corporate IT, MES/automation teams, and external vendors to ensure rapid restoration of service. The role emphasizes hands-on network, server, and shop-floor IT management, with occasional after-hours support for critical outages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of IT infrastructure, network maintenance, and onsite IT support experience.
• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP.
• Lark suite (Mail, Messenger, Docs, Calendar, Drive, Base) — user/admin operations.
• TCP/IP, VLAN, routing/switching fundamentals.
• Cisco networking — switches and firewalls (VLAN, trunking, ACL, NAT, VPN, basic policy).
• Structured cabling (Cat6A, fiber patching basics).
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in Canada; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT buildout and commissioning for the Vaughan plant, coordinating with contractors and vendors.
• Triage and restore IT infrastructure issues, escalating to specialists when needed and keeping production informed.
• Maintain on-prem network gear, servers, storage, backups, and shop-floor IT equipment.
• Administer Windows Server/AD, DNS/DHCP, file services, and application accounts across systems.
• Support VMware/HCI at Tier-1 level and monitor backups; ensure recoveries are validated.
• Provide first- and second-level onsite helpdesk for staff and shop-floor users.
• Image and deploy end-user devices, manage MDM for mobile devices, and support OT/IT integration points.
• Document configurations, cabling, IP allocations, and maintain runbooks and as-built records.
