Job summary

The Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls is seeking a Planning Technician to manage notices, respond to inquiries, and process development applications using Cityview. The role also provides backup support for the Secretary Treasurer of the Committee of Adjustment and the Planning Clerk.

You will ensure AODA compliance, coordinate public notices and publications, maintain website updates for the Planning department, and handle fees and pre-consultation processes while supporting other staff

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in planning or related field with relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge of Ontario planning legislation and provincial policies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Intake and processing of all planning applications using Cityview.
• Create and distribute public notices and locate maps using Cityview.
• Ensure documents are AODA compliant and manage fees correctly.
• Coordinate pre-consultation processes and assist staff with research.
