Cambridge is seeking an experienced Planning Technician to join the Planning Services Division in the Planning and Growth Department. The role focuses on reviewing licenses and permits for zoning compliance, interpreting by-laws and Official Plans, and assisting with development applications and inspections.
The candidate will provide guidance to property owners and applicants, prepare reports and notices for committees and council, and contribute to parkland funding calculations and accuracy

We are looking for one (1) experienced Planning Technician to join the Planning Services Division team, Planning and Growth Department available immediately. The focus of this position will be to:
Two-year College Diploma in Planning or Similar
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
Valid G driver's license.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
This position is within Grade 7 of the inside workers union Salary Schedule and has an annual salary range of $72,582 to $77,132 (2026 rates).We offer a comprehensive benefit package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer.
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the collective agreement, however currently are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm., Monday to Friday; some evening hours are required
