The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating all activities within the Preventative and Planned Maintenance Program.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain good knowledge of SAP and its relation to CMMS.
- Monitor and track outstanding work in the system for their area.
- Review and update equipment information for the SAP Hierarchy.
- Add spare part SAP# numbers to the BOM for each equipment as entered into SAP.
- Provide reports on KPIs as they are developed.
- Facilitate the Daily Validation meeting to convert all notifications to Work Orders.
- Plan and schedule all PMs and Work Orders to ensure completion before the Basic Finish Date.
- Distribute Work Orders to Millwrights and Electricians.
- Develop a two-week frozen schedule in conjunction with the Production Schedule.
- Track completion of PMs and generate weekly PM compliance reports.
- Review with Maintenance Supervisor any requested changes to PMs, document modifications.
- Create Work Orders and track their completion with weekly updates.
- Minimize overdue Work Orders (PMs and MRs) and report any that are seriously overdue.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Participate in all Zone audits.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to understand Work Order requirements involving contractors.
- Arrange and schedule contractors based on the production schedule.
- Work with Maintenance Supervisor to schedule planned maintenance activities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education in a technical field or trade certification as a Millwright or Electrician is required.
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience with SAP software.
- Post-secondary education or training in Planning/Scheduling or related field is preferred.
- A high sense of accountability, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
