Do you have experience in building maintenance and renovations? We are looking for a talented candidate to handle maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure our Residents' peace of mind. If you're passionate about fixing things, skilled with your hands, and mechanically adept, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Address maintenance requests within 72 hours
  • Perform on-call emergency maintenance as scheduled
  • Maintain, renovate, and touch up vacant suites per quality standards
  • Perform general maintenance in common areas and buildings
  • Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with the Customer Care Team
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and report findings
  • Ensure contractors complete work according to quality standards
  • Participate in training and continuous learning
  • Assist with snow removal as needed
  • Complete administrative tasks using a tablet
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of renovation experience

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with technology
  • Skills in painting, sanding, priming, and finishing surfaces
  • Plumbing skills: repair and installation of toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, and clearing blocked lines
  • Electrical skills: replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets
  • Drywall repair skills
  • Flooring repair and installation skills

Nice to Have:

  • Additional skills in framing, tiling, drywall, flooring, and plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of hydronic heating systems and furnaces
  • Experience repairing, replacing, and installing doors, windows, and cabinets
  • Skills in lock repair, replacement, rekeying, and mastering
  • Appliance repair and installation skills

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Possession of most tools listed during the interview
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, lift for up to eight hours
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90 kg with proper equipment
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Ability to resolve issues correctly on the first attempt
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
  • Valid driver’s license
