We Are Looking For
We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual to join our manufacturing team as our Maintenance Lead. You will be responsible for all maintenance for the complete operation. Duties are fulfilled as assigned by the Plant Manager safely, efficiently, and effectively. We are looking for a self-starter who likes to get their hands dirty.
What You’ll Do
- Dive into blueprints and schematics, assemble equipment, and test its functionality
- Schedule, Track and Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery
- Dismantle machines, move them to repair sites, and replace defective parts
- Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions
- Provide improvement opportunities for machine upgrades
- Champion health and safety work practices
- Fabricate parts for overhauls and overhaul machinery
- Lay foundations for machinery or direct others to do so
- Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance program for all equipment, including roll formers, presses, overhead cranes, and forklifts
- Schedule and manage preventive maintenance (PM) for all equipment
- Assist operators in material handling when required
- Identify and prequalify outside subcontractors to help where needed
- Review the maintenance budget monthly with the Plant Manager
What You’ll Need
- 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Mechanic or Millwright certification is a plus
- Safety training in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Accuracy with figures
- Organizational skills and self-motivation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience with heavy machinery
- Experience in metal forming
- Certification in using overhead cranes, slings, and forklifts
- Manufacturing experience is an asset
- Prior knowledge with Fiix or other CMMS an asset
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday, 10 hour day shifts.
