Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ). This 8-month role starts in January 2027 and sits in the Corporate Planning Scheduling and Lean Department.

You will support data organization, planning coordination, and research on AI and digital tools related to scheduling. Prepare reports, presentations, and training materials while providing general project support.

• Help track action items, project updates and governance activities.
• Assist with preparing reports, presentations and training materials.
• Provide general administrative and project support to the Planning, Scheduling & Lean team.
• Other related responsibilities as required.

We are seeking a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be part of the Corporate Planning Scheduling and Lean Department.

Responsibilities

As a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student, and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Support the Planning, Scheduling & Lean team with data organization, validation, and cleanup activities.
• Assists with planning and coordination of PCL Planning, Scheduling and Lean Conference.
• Conduct research on AI, automation, and digital tools relevant to planning and scheduling processes.
• Help track action items, project updates, and governance-related activities.
• Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and training materials.
• Provide general administrative and project support to the Planning, Scheduling & Lean team.
• Other related responsibilities as required.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in technology, including various computer software programs such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills.
• Methodical problem-solving abilities.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Process documentation and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 (Web and Professional) and Acumen Fuse and Risk is advantageous.
• Experience with additional technologies like Power BI is an asset.
