Are you a forestry professional passionate about safety, innovation, and sustainable resource management? Join a collaborative and experienced team dedicated to advancing the future of forestry in British Columbia.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivatedPlanning Forester/Planning Supervisorto join our Woodlands and Planning Department. This position is based in eitherPrince GeorgeorMackenzie, BC, with regular travel between the two locations.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence forestry operations while upholding high standards of environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in forest development planning and in building productive relationships with First Nations and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to landscape- and operational-level planning, including management of harvest profiles.
  • Coordinate and consult with First Nations and other stakeholders during site and landscape planning.
  • Ensure compliance with forestry legislation, policies, regulations, and applicable guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry (RPF or RFT, or eligibility for registration).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in forestry, with preference for candidates with 5+ years in planning, stakeholder engagement, and remote sensing.
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with forestry technologies and computer systems.
  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
