Job summary

Blackline Civil Inc. is seeking a Pipelayer Helper to support underground utility construction crews installing water, sewer, and storm systems. You will assist pipelayers and operators with trench work, material handling, and pipe installation tasks.

This role emphasizes physical stamina, reliability, and teamwork on Alberta projects. You will follow directions from Topman and foreman, work safely around heavy equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized site.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or outdoor labour experience is an asset.
• Willingness to learn underground utility work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in trenches and around heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipelayers with pipe installation and alignment.
• Carry, move, and position pipe materials and tools.
• Help prepare trench bottoms (bedding, leveling, grading).
• Assist with backfilling and compacting trenches.
