FWS Group of Companies is seeking Pipefitters/Plumbers for projects in Northern BC and Saskatchewan to join a team-focused organization in Canada. The role involves assembling, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems across multiple materials, with a focus on safety and productivity. Expect field work with potential time away from home on a 14/7 or 14/14 rotation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program or equivalent pipefitting/plumbing experience.
• HDPE Fusion ticket is an asset.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 and/or 14/14 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pipefitting components: measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending.

Responsibilities

• Safe and conscientious use of equipment including forklift, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Hoisting, rigging, and scaffold erection.
• Perform material take-offs.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuels.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within modular assemblies with designed supports.
• Establish control points with accuracy.
• Transfer levels over large distances with accuracy.
• Work with threaded PVC, CPVC, HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems.

To add to this expertise, we are recruiting for Pipefitters/Plumbers for a projects in Northern BC and SK , to join our collaborative and team focused organization.

As our Pipefitter/Plumber, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Responsible for safe and conscientious use of equipment including forklift, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Proficient in safe methods of hoisting, rigging, and scaffold erection.
• Proficient in material take-offs.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Establishing control points with accuracy.
• Able to transfer levels over large distances with accuracy
• Working on threaded PVC, CPVC HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems

Qualifications Needed:

• Appropriate level of experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 and/or 14/14 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Experience with compressed air piping and process hot/cold water piping systems.
• Experience with PVC/HDPE and stainless-steel piping.
• Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction an asset.
• Valid Zoom Boom ticket is considered an asset.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.
