Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is recruiting for Carpenters for a project site in Northern BC. You will provide support to the department and Superintendent, read construction drawings, build to specifications, and supervise labourers and resources while ensuring safe operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing and finishing.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and build to specifications.
• Must be able to supervise labourers and manage resources as required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

As our Carpenter, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required due to client requirements.
