Job summary

IPEX in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Saw Operator for a 3-month contract to support our production team. You will set up and run cutting saws to meet customer specifications while maintaining safety and quality.

This on-site role operates on a 12-hour Continental Day shift (7:30am – 7:30pm) and requires strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and teamwork to ensure efficiency and 5S compliance in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow work instructions, procedures and quality requirements.
Strong attention to detail and product quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate cutting saws in accordance with established production requirements and specifications.
Cut pipe products accurately to meet quality and dimensional standards.
Plan and organize work assignments to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Perform routine quality inspections and verify product conformance.
Manage regrind materials, including proper sorting and control procedures.
Maintain housekeeping standards and support 5S initiatives within the work area.
Complete production and administrative documentation as required.
Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Support other production functions and departmental activities as assigned by the supervisor.
