Job summary

Saskatoon Academy of Music is looking for passionate, professional, and self-motivated individuals to join their teaching staff. Candidates should have an extensive background in piano, including formal credentials. While prior teaching experience isn't mandatory, it will be considered. Scheduling is flexible, with lessons from 1:00pm - 9:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturdays.

This position begins in September 2026, including training hours in August, and involves both in-person and online teaching.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have an extensive background in piano.
• Previous teaching experience and/or experience working with children is a plus.
• Flexible scheduling and availability for 3 or more days per week preferred.

Previous teaching experience and/or experience working with children is not mandatory, but will be taken into account.

Applicants must be available to work weekday evenings and/or Saturday daytimes; preference will be given to candidates who are available for 3 or more days per week.

Scheduling is flexible and there is potential for more hours; the Academy runs lessons 1:00pm - 9:00pm on weekdays, and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturdays.

This position will begin in September of 2026 with the beginning of our new school year, and will include some small training hours in August.

The position includes teaching in person and a small amount of teaching online (Zoom) as we are currently offering both options to our students.
