Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Regina invites applications for a Lessons Teacher. The role is an independent contractor position, focused on teaching piano and other fundamentals at our on-site Lesson Centre.

Availability includes weekdays, weeknights and weekends at 1445 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK. The ideal candidate will hold a music degree or diploma or a minimum Grade 8 RCM with rudiments, with proven teaching experience and knowledge of standard curricula for private or group

Qualifications

• Must hold a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College.
• Minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments or professional equivalency.
• Experience teaching all ages and ability to apply standard curricula.

Responsibilities

• Teach piano and related instruments as an independent contractor.
• Contribute to on-site Lesson Centre offerings and curricula.

• Lessons Teachers work as independent contractors.
• The majority of Long & McQuade stores have on-site Lesson Centres that offer lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice.

Job Requirements

• Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:
• a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College
• a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments
• professional equivalency
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
