Physiotherapy Assistant (Part-Time / Full-Time)

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our expanding team in Kingston, ON. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physiotherapists with treatment plans for residents in care communities.
• Perform treatments such as gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and modalities (heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS) as prescribed.
• Lead dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents.
• Prepare and clean equipment before and after treatments.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organized treatment environment.
• Communicate regularly with physiotherapists regarding resident progress and concerns.
• Document treatments using our proprietary web-based system.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology, or similar healthcare qualification.
• Experience in LTC settings is an asset.
• Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening (within 6 months).
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux) clearance.
