Job description

Join to apply for the Physiotherapy Assistant role at Arvan Rehab Group Inc.

We are currently looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) for a Long Term Care client in Lancaster, Ontario. Working under the supervision of the Physiotherapist, our assistants will work closely with residents to help implement treatment programs and achieve their goals.

Schedule

25 hours per week starting June 2nd, 2025.

Job Duties

• Assist with conducting group exercises and lead one-on-one exercises with residents as directed by the Physiotherapist.
• Encourage residents to reach their treatment goals.
• Document treatments and residents' progress after each session.
• Assist residents with walking, sitting, and safe transferring.
• Monitor health status changes and report to the Physiotherapist or supervisor.
• Perform treatments such as applying ice or hot packs, ultrasound therapy, TENS, hot wax, etc.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Retirement homes is an asset.
• Current police check for Vulnerable Sector.
• Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-ray.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Resident of Lancaster or surrounding area. No relocation considerations.
