Job summary

Interior Health in Kelowna is seeking a relief, part-time Physiotherapist at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). The role is 0.63 FTE and runs until November 2026, or until the incumbent returns.

The position primarily serves 3E (vascular and plastic surgery) with additional acute care duties on weekends. You will work within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team delivering assessment, treatment planning, and education to support functional independence.

Qualifications

• Full licensure as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Valid B.C. Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and caregivers to support functional independence.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and participate in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities.
• Provide guidance to the rehabilitation assistant and contribute to departmental and professional goals.

Position Summary

We are hiring a relief, part-time (0.63 FTE) Physiotherapist at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). This position is expected to run until November 2026, or the return of the incumbent.

Days of work

Thursdays, Fridays, alternating Wednesdays. There is also a requirement to work one out of every four weekends.

Shift times

07:30 to 15:30

About the position

This position is primarily assigned to KGH 3E (vascular and plastic surgery), plus additional acute care units on the weekends or as needed. A Physiotherapist functions both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services. These include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and/or their caregivers to support functional independence and optimize health outcomes. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Physiotherapist contributes to departmental and professional goals by participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities. They also provide guidance and direction to the rehabilitation assistant working within the team.
