Job summary

Interior Health is hiring a permanent, part-time Physiotherapist for East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. The role covers acute care and requires independent and collaborative work, with supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants and coordination within the rehabilitation team.

You will conduct assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, provide education to clients and caregivers, and contribute to promoting functional independence.

Qualifications

• Full licensee as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of patients across acute care, medical, surgical and ICU units.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and provide education to clients and caregivers.
• Lead and direct Rehabilitation Assistants, ensuring efficient coordination within the rehabilitation team.
• Provide coverage in Emergency Department as needed and collaborate with colleagues.
• Promote functional independence and contribute to patient well-being.

Days of work

Mondays and Tuesdays; includes 1 in 6 weekends

Shift times

08:30 to 16:30

Acute care coverage will include the medical, surgical and ICU units as well as covering in the Emergency Department as needed. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing your expertise conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans and providing education to clients and caregivers. You'll play a vital role in promoting functional independence and enhancing overall well-being. You’ll provide direction to Rehabilitation Assistants, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of care within the rehabilitation team.
