Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Physiotherapist to join an inter-professional team for weekend and weekday coverage. The role involves assessment, consultation and education for patients, families and the care team across in-patient units.
The successful candidate will participate in team meetings, liaise with unit-level teams and community providers, and contribute to inter-professional conferences as needed. Weekend shift includes one Saturday/Sunday per 4 weekends.
Working as a member of the inter-professional team for weekend & weekday coverage, the Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing assessment, consultation and education to the patient, family members and the interprofessional team within a variety of in-patient units. The successful candidate will actively be participating in regular team meetings, liaising with with unit level teams, community based providers, advocating on behalf of clients and their families and participation in inter-professional patient and family conferences as needed.

This role will primarily cover acute care medicine or general surgery units on weekends. Weekday coverage opportunities will include coverage within inpatient acute care and complex continuing care. The Physiotherapist is scheduled for one Saturday and Sunday shift out of every 4 weekends. Where there is a statutory holiday, this holiday is included in as part of the long weekend.
