Humber River Health in Toronto is seeking a Registered Physiotherapist for a temporary part-time role at the Wilson Site, with cross-site coverage at Reactivation Care Centres (Finch & Church sites) may be required. The position requires collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and delivering evidence-based assessment and treatment.

You will rotate through medical, surgical and specialty units, document care plans and supervise Rehabilitation Assistants, contributing to teaching.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Eligibility for CPA membership.
  • Experience in acute care setting is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Positive attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for referred patients in medical, surgical, and specialty units within the acute care setting and post-acute care settings.
  • Deliver cross-coverage services, ensuring appropriate assessment and intervention for patients in medical, surgical, and specialty units and post-acute.
  • Prioritize and manage patient caseload effectively to meet clinical needs and organizational goals.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, progress, and discharge plans in accordance with professional standards.
  • Record workload measurement data in a timely and precise manner.
  • Collaborate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in caseload management and program assignments to support departmental needs.
  • Manage patient care efficiently within fast-paced acute care and post-acute environments.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Assistants in alignment with Ontario College of Physiotherapists' support personnel standards.

Our Physiotherapists help our patients achieve their maximum range of movement and physical ability. Working with an interdisciplinary team Physiotherapists assist in optimizing the mobility of our patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Reporting Relationship: Manager of Allied Health
Hourly Rate Range: $40.36 - $56.30
Location: Wilson Site. Occasional cross site coverage at the Reactivation Care Centres (Finch & Church sites) may be required.
Hours of work: Available to work rotating shifts (Monday to Friday, Weekends & Statutory Holidays)

  • Availability to work during both the week and weekend is an asset for the Casual position.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
