About the Role

Aura Women’s Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopaedic

Physiotherapist, with pelvic floor training considered a strong asset. This is an exciting

opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about evidence-based care, interdisciplinary

collaboration, and inclusive healthcare. You will be part of a group committed to supporting

women, gender-expansive individuals, and historically underrepresented populations

through key life stages—from reproduction and postpartum recovery to peri-menopause,

menopause, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based orthopaedic physiotherapy services, including care related to

pelvic health.

• Collaborate closely with a diverse group of professionals—physiotherapists, massage

therapists, mental health counselors, strength trainers, and movement instructors—to

provide holistic care.

• Empower clients through individualized treatment, with the option of group sessions, and

educational workshops.

• Participate in community outreach programs to expand access to physiotherapy services

for underrepresented populations in Halifax.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential patient records in accordance with Nova

Scotia regulatory standards and the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited university physiotherapy program.
• Licensed and registered in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of

Physiotherapists.

• Pelvic Floor Level 1 certification required if applying as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

with willingness to pursue additional training encouraged).

• Experience with manual therapy and a hands-on treatment approach preferred.
• Passion for women’s and gender-diverse health, collaborative care, and inclusive

practices.

• Post-graduate studies in women’s health and / or gender-affirming care considered an

asset.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
