Job summary

Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre is seeking a Physician Assistant for the West Ottawa HART Hub in Ottawa. The PA will deliver primary care, mental health and substance use services under physician supervision, across clinic and community settings.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, harm reduction and patient-centered practice, with focus on vulnerable populations and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Regular full-time or part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a bachelor or master’s level physician assistant training program in Canada or the United States.
• Registration as a Physician Assistant in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, or eligible for registration.
• Experience in primary care, mental health or addictions medicine – preferred.
• Experience with vulnerable populations – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to clients in the hub or community within scope of license.
• Perform assessments, education and outreach for individuals with substance use challenges; diagnose, prescribe, refer as appropriate.
• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate treatment, education and health promotion programs.
• Plan and participate in outreach health services.
• Maintain client records and protect confidentiality; perform administrative functions as required.
