Job summary
CMHA Peel Dufferin Branch seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the HART Hub Brampton team, supporting addiction care and continuum of services. The role includes assessment, prescribing within RN(EC) scope, and collaboration with RAAM and HART Hub partners to improve access to care.
Permanent part-time (18.75 hrs/wk) with daytime shifts and flexibility for evenings; potential for full-time status in Brampton/Orangeville.
Qualifications
- MSN and an RN(P) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of Mental Health/Addictions experience in a community setting.
- Completion of College Approved Controlled Substances Education Program.
- Psychiatric Nursing Certification is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Attend to clients with addictions and concurrent disorders at the clinic and in the community.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and synthesize data to make diagnoses.
- Collaborate with physicians and RAAM/HART Hub partners for care planning.
- Prescribe meds within RN(EC) scope and monitor ongoing therapy.
