Job description

TRIO is a private fertility clinic located in downtown Toronto. TRIO’s team consists of world-renowned physicians who have cared for thousands of patients over the last 25 years. With a mindset for innovation and research, TRIO provides patients with more resources including a strong focus on personalized programs, services and satellite locations across Ontario. We are looking for an individual to cover a Maternity Leave for 12 months, with the possibility for a permanent role.

Scope of Position

Reporting to the Deputy Medical Director, the Physician Assistant is responsible for providing leadership and support to the physician on duty. The role will be to champion, drive accountability and innovation for care & wellness within all groups. TRIO is looking for a Physician Assistant to join the Medical Team Full-time, 5 days a week and periodically on weekends when needed.

Roles and Responsibilities – Under the Medical Directive of a Physician:

• Act independently as a Physician Assistant at TRIO Fertility
• Conduct histories, physical examinations, order and interpret investigations, perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Educate patients on treatment
• Work to extend physician services and can work autonomously
• Works side-by-side with REI
• See patients and reviews results
• Performs Intra-uterine insemination and other minor procedures
• Provide patients with ongoing support during treatment

Qualifications:

• Awarded the Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) designation from CAPA.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Current registration in good standing with CAPA.
• ACLS certified, required
• Minimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience in Assisted Reproduction or OBGYN, an asset

• Work independently and with the Physician in charge to drive the vision of TRIO’s unique patient experience
