Program / Unit Summary

Our Neuro / MSK program offers comprehensive multidisciplinary care for patients with brain tumours, hematomas, hemorrhages, arterial venous malformations, and spinal conditions. The units include 4J Neurosurgery, 3J Neurosurgery Special Care, and 4J Surgical Spine, providing a rich environment for professional growth and research.

Position Summary

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program, certified by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Support neurosurgical services at Mississauga Hospital, working closely with neurosurgeons on inpatient care.
• Report to the Director, Neuro / MSK program, and work under the supervision of a Neurosurgeon.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform histories, physical exams, screening, and order diagnostics.
• Follow-up visits, patient communication, and prescription management.
• Prescribe medications (excluding narcotics) as delegated after training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and students.
