Job Summary:

This position provides direct patient care related to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management in ambulatory and/or inpatient settings for patients with complex medical conditions or surgical needs. Works closely with faculty, fellows, residents, and nursing staff to develop and coordinate care plans tailored to patient and family needs. Some off-hour, weekend, and on-call duties may be required.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Performs history and physical examinations, formulates care plans, orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests, and educates patients and families.
  2. Acts as an educator and serves as a clinical resource for staff through consultation, formal and informal education, literature review, and participation in seminars and conferences.
  3. Coordinates patient care to ensure safe, effective, timely, and patient-centered services. Liaises with visiting nurses, clinical staff, and consult services. Develops comprehensive care plans and collaborates with physicians or surgeons for complex diagnoses.
  4. Documents clinical encounters clearly, accurately, and promptly.
  5. Works collaboratively with other health professionals to assess and meet patient and family health needs, demonstrating an interdisciplinary approach.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  2. Physician Assistant license, DPH Drug Control registration, and Basic Life Support certification.
  3. 0-1 years of related work experience.
  4. ARC-PA, NCCPA certification.
  5. Valid prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
  6. Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Three to five years of clinical experience.
