Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering about one quarter of the Alberta government’s Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.
The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

Properties’ Programs & Integration Unit is the primary point of contact and resource, for the regional offices within the Properties Branch, for business, technical, systems, and process expertise, with the goal of facilitating uniformity, continuous improvement, and innovation in relation to property management practices. Programs & Integration is accountable for knowledge management and consistency relating to Properties business, accommodations, major maintenance, facilities management, and project delivery processes, as well as for providing associated training, and identifying and promoting the application of best practices.
This position is a key resource within the Building Support Team, reporting to the Building Support Manager. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Properties’ Security Framework. This includes developing and continuously improving security policies, processes and procedures; defining roles and
responsibilities related to security in the Properties Branch; providing tools and delivering training to staff in Properties; and monitoring the effectiveness of security initiatives.
This position is a permanent, full-time role, with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday (8:15 am – 4:30 pm).

Required Travel: occasional overnight travel required (<25%)
