Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role requires three years of Registered Pharmacy Technician experience, OCP licensure, and strong English/French communication skills. You will work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with opportunities in EPIC and other systems.

Basic Requirements
  • Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with OCP
  • 3 years of previous Registered Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Strong skills and knowledge of the area of interest
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, EPIC)
  • NAPRA knowledge
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to prioritize work
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced). The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English-speaking clients.
