Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking applicants for upcoming Casual (On-Call) Clerical positions across Civic, General, Riverside Campus or TOH satellite locations. Applicants should be available 2/3 weekends, 8 weeks between June 1 and September 30, and five shifts between December 23 and January 3, including major holidays.

Minimum requirements include Grade 12, 6 months clerical experience, and data entry speed of 4000 keystrokes/hour.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12).
• Six (6) months recent clerical experience.
• Data Entry: 4000 keystrokes/hour.
• Basic Word and Basic Excel skills.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• TOH medical terminology certification or equivalent.

Position Information

Position may be located at either the Civic, General, Riverside Campus or other TOH Satellite locations. The Ottawa Hospital is accepting resumes for upcoming Casual (On-Call) Clerical positions. Minimum availability requirements: 2/3 weekends, 8 weeks during the period from June 1 to September 30, and five shifts between December 23 and January 3, inclusive of either Christmas Day, Boxing Day or December 31/New Year's Day.

What You Will Bring

• Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12);
• Six (6) months recent clerical experience;
• Successful completion of TOH medical terminology self-directed learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
• Data Entry (4000 keystrokes/hour);
• Basic Word;
• Basic Excel;
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
• Eligible to work in Canada.

You will stand out with

• Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
