Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist for a clinical assignment in Family Medicine. This role provides exposure to hospital pharmacy operations, direct patient care and collaborative practice with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists with an unrestricted Part A license.
• Working knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy.
• In-depth understanding of use, composition and clinical effects of drugs.
• Ability to supervise/lead/coach/mentor.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teaching skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Basic Requirements

• Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as determined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists;
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists with an unrestricted Part A license;
