Job summary

Rexall is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions in our community pharmacy.

You will input and verify prescriptions, manage labels and consent forms in the pharmacy computer system, and assist with inventory and cashier duties as needed.

We seek a can-do attitude, strong communication skills and flexibility to work weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates.
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required.
• This is role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.
