Position Title: Pharmacy Manager - Full Time

Summary:

Contribute to the achievement of strategic goals and objectives for the pharmacy while ensuring the attainment of budgeted financial metrics. Provide direct patient care and manage the pharmacy, including the dispensary and front shop, ensuring adherence to Company standards and Ontario College of Pharmacists' standards of practice.

Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance of the Pharmacy department with OCP regulations, other regulatory bodies, and Company policies.
  2. Meet all requirements as a Designated Manager with OCP.
  3. Perform dispensing, patient counseling, and pharmacy services to satisfy dispensary orders.
  4. Act within the expanded scope of pharmacy practice.
  5. Provide pharmacy services aligned with Company initiatives.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient care.
  7. Manage pharmacy hours, opening/closing, and pharmacist scheduling.
  8. Organize dispensary functions and personnel for optimal workflow.
  9. Complete all pharmacy-related paperwork.
  10. Manage OTC business operations and inventory.
  11. Schedule pharmacy staff, including pharmacist coverage.
  12. Manage unionized staff and resolve staff issues.
  13. Stay informed about local competition and business development opportunities.
  14. Deliver consistent, exceptional customer service.
  15. Maintain store standards and conditions.
  16. Oversee cash register operations.
Qualifications:
  • B.Sc. Phm. Degree from a 4-year University Pharmacy Program.
  • Registered Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Injection and Smoking Cessation certified, registered with OCP.
  • Proficient with PC systems, MS Office, and pharmacy software (Kroll).
  • HR management skills for hiring, training, and developing staff.
  • Leadership qualities to motivate operational achievement.
  • Strong financial and operational knowledge of pharmacy management.
  • Operational expertise to implement best practices.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on ROI and continuous improvement.
  • Interpersonal skills for building relationships and fostering a positive environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Receptivity to feedback and proactive in task completion.
