Sobeys is seeking friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy assistants in Bedford, Nova Scotia, to join our patient-centered team. You will support prescription assembly, data entry, and customer transactions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset, and you will collaborate with pharmacists to promote health services and ensure

Qualifications

Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

Prescription assembly – data entry.
Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
Promote Profile programs.
Compounding.
Pill Pack Assembly.
Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
Drug order creation and receiving.
Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements).
BTC management.
Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
