Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team. You will support prescription assembly, data entry, and patient care under the pharmacist’s supervision.

Preferred is a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma; prior pharmacy experience is an asset. You’ll handle filing, inventory, and customer interactions in a fast-paced environment at our Kentville, NS location.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

Process customer transactions and prescription requests.
Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
Understand and promote pharmacy programs; filing, ordering, replenishing supplies, and cleaning.
Drug order creation, receiving, compounding and pill pack assembly.
Schedule professional clinical services.
Behind the counter management, cycle counts, narcotic counts, stock returns, and handling of tall man lettering.
Assisting the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted by scope.
