Sobeys Inc. in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team. You will process prescriptions, handle refills, and support daily pharmacy operations to ensure accurate and patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to company standards. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset and Diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
