Job summary

Safeway in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and support patient-centered care. In this role you will assist with prescription assembly, data entry, and pharmacy operations to help meet patients' health needs.

You will handle in-person and phone refill requests, perform administrative tasks, and support the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical services with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
