Job summary

FreshCo / FreshCo Chalo is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our community-focused team in Richmond. You will participate in prescription assembly, data entry, and handle in-person and telephone refill requests to support patient care.

You will also assist with compounding, pill pack assembly, filing, supplies, and scheduling clinical services while upholding all company standards and delivering efficient pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and document deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding and Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions and replenishing supplies.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, etc.).
• BTC management and administrative duties (cycle counts, narcotic counts).
• Adhere to company standards and assist with other pharmacy operations.

• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
